Lägg till Ixquick i din browser

Du kan nu enkelt lägga till Ixquick i din lista av Firefox sökmotorer.Sökmotorer visas upp i en rullgardinsmeny bredvid sökboxen i din Firefox webbläsare.

You can now easily add Ixquick to your list of Internet Explorer 7+ (IE7+) search providers. Search providers appear in the drop-down menu next to the search bar inside your IE7+ browser.

You can now easily add Ixquick to your Opera browser. The Ixquick search engine will then appear in the drop-down menu next to the search bar inside your browser.

1. Gå till .
2. Högerklicka på ixquick sökboxen (på vänstersidan om den blåa “sök” knappen).
2. Ctrl-klicka på sökboxen (på vänstersidan av den blåa knappen)
3. Välj "Skapa sökning" från sammanhangsmenyn.
4. Ange 'ix' i fältet "Nyckelord"
5. Klicka "Detaljer >>", och markera "Använd som standard sökmotor".
6. Klicka "OK", och du kan använda Ixquick som din föredragna sök plugin
7. Om Ixquick inte visas upp som standard i sökboxen, klicka på den lilla svarta pilen i sökboxen (övre högra delen i din webbläsare) och välj Ixquick.
Efter installation, välj Ixquick från sökboxens rullgardinsmeny. Nu är du redo att söka: bara ange en sök term och klicka Retur!

Currently there is no solution available to add a Plugin for Ixquick to your Safari browser.

There are known problems of Safari 3.2 crashing when installing 3rd party plugins, like Acid search.
Apple has been reported to be working on the problem.
At this moment we therefore recommend NOT to donwload any plugins in combination with Safari 3.2.

You can now easily add Ixquick to your Safari browser.
The Ixquick search engine will then appear in the drop-down menu next to the search bar inside your browser.

Instruktioner:

1. Klicka på listrutan i din webbläsares sökruta.

2. Välj ”AcidSearch Preferences or Edit Search Channels” från listrutemenyn.

3. Om det inte finns där, ladda ner och installera Acidsearch-insticket från http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15495.

4. När du har installerat AcidSearch-insticket och startat om Safari upprepar du steg 1 och 2 och går sedan vidare till steg 5.

5. Klicka på en av sökkanalerna för att aktivera alternativen och klicka på "New Channel" (alternativen längst ner till höger).

6. Skriv in ”Ixquick” i ”Title”.

7. In "Prefix URL" enter '/do/metasearch.pl?query=$0' if AcidSearch .7b3 or newer versions are being used, otherwise use this url '/do/metasearch.pl?query='

8. Stäng fönstret och välj Ixquick i sökrutan.

Efter installation, välj Ixquick från sökboxens rullgardinsmeny. Nu är du redo att söka: bara ange en sök term och klicka Retur!

Add Ixquick to your Safari Browser

You can now easily add Ixquick to your Konqueror browser.
To add Ixquick as web shortcut to your konqueror browser follow below Instructions.

Instruktioner:

1. Goto "Settings" in the Konqueror menu of your Browser.

2. Then Select "configure konqueror..".

3. Then choose "Enhanced Browsing or Web Shortcuts" from the sidebar on the left, and you will get a nice long list of shortcut.

4. Click "New" button.

5. Enter 'Ixquick' in Search Provider "Name:"

6. Enter '/do/metasearch.pl?query=' in "Search URI:".

7. Enter your own shortcuts e.g: 'ix,ixq,ixquick' in "URI Shortcuts:".

8. Click OK.

After following these instructions, you're ready to search: just enter "ix: Web Intensive" and press Enter!

Add Ixquick to your Konqueror Browser
